Who is my team-lead?

Sherpas are folks who have a lead role and are there to guide and assist the team. In #team-growth, our direct team leads are @simon and @malia, but you can reach out to any lead with questions and they'll lead you in the right direction! Learn more about the team here.

Do I assign myself to tasks on ClickUp or will someone do that for me?

A lil bit of both.

How to know when you should assign yourself to a task:

  1. 1.
    A task / project is aligned with our quarter goals and a good place to put energy into (ask if unknown) - jump right in! Even if a project is unassigned and in backlog, it might not fit into our roadmap at the moment, and your time and effort could be spent better elsewhere
  2. 2.
    Someone else's task is in the "Review Pls" stage, assign yourself as an editor and help out your teammate!
  3. 3.
    When a project is laid out in a team huddle / discussion that you communicate you'd like to take on

How to know when a task will be assigned for you:

  1. 1.
    Someone has discussed the project with you and determined your interest / good fit
  2. 2.
    Someone needs your editing skills

What do I do - if I don't know what to do?

If you feel stuck after a project, in-between projects, or just over-all have case of "white room" head, reach out! Your team leads are there for you for a chat and a game plan 🙂
